Buck Mountain Pass is the boundary between Grand Teton National Park and Alaska Basin and the Jedediah Wilderness in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. This pass does not present significant hazard when snow covered as the slope angles are moderate on both sides.
Climbing and mountaineering are inherently dangerous pursuits. This website is not a substitute for good judgment. Mountain pass and climbing route conditions and photos will be updated whenever possible but should not be solely relied upon. Please stop in and see us at the Jenny Lake Ranger Station when you're in the area or give us a call at 307.739.3343. We’re open 8-5pm MST early June through Labor Day weekend.
