Hurricane Pass separates the South Fork of Cascade Canyon in Grand Teton National Park from Alaska Basin and Teton Canyon in the US Forest Service administered Jedediah Wilderness in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. The east (Cascade Canyon) side has some steep snow to navigate in the early season that typically lasts into July. In this condition an ice axe is needed to safely traverse the pass.
